ARESYS has been involved in the design and SAR performace evaluation of several SAR mission including ESA's ENVISAT, its heir Sentinel-1, scheduled for launch in 2012, and the CONAE SAOCOM mission, the first Argentinian L-Band SAR mission.

The long experience in new missions design and performances evaluation makes ARESYS a suitable partner for a set of different tasks including:
  • Advanced SAR modes design for the maximum exploitation of the instrument capabilities;
  • Fully optimised design solutions obtained by a joint optimisation of the most critical SAR performances figures;
  • Cohmprehensive geometrical model including earth topography and actual satellite reference orbit ans attitude to take into account all the geometrical related impacts on performances;
  • SAR Antenna full-featured modeling for a realistic evaluation of the radiation pattern impacts on SAR performances.
  • Semi-automatic optimisation loop for quick re-optimisation and re-tuning of the proposed solutions.
