Description
Aresys, is looking for a “Digital Electronics Designer”, to join its Instruments and EGSE business unit dedicated to the development of advanced payload solutions for avionics and space and EGSE systems.
Main tasks and responsibilities:
- Electronic boards schematics design, prototyping and production for mixed signal, processing intensive, multi-channel acquisition applications;
- Autonomously managing electronic development projects involving schematics, layouts, BOMs for systems, modules, flex assemblies, multi-chip modules, and main logic boards;
- Circuit design, schematics definition and PCB layout implementation;
- Boards testing & debugging using the most common lab instruments (Spectrum Analyzer, Oscilloscope, VNA, etc.);
- To actively participate to the integrated system development supporting HW/SW integration and HW mechanical integration;
- To supervise and participate in the detailed design up to the realization and verification of the apparatus;
- Responsibility of BOM prepared with the support of the electronic technical team and system engineers;
- Ensure adherence to all relevant standards (e.g. ECSS) and protocols for EEE parts and services and support the resolution of quality and technical issues;
- Effectively manage the selection of suppliers and the parts procurement flow to ensure they meet requirements for quality, service, delivery, cost, risk mitigation, and capabilities in conjunction with Quality team;
- To coordinate the preparation of the project technical documentation.
Education and experience:
- BsC or MsC in Electronics engineering;
- Professional experience in similar application fields;
- Experience in HW design for space / new space missions;
- Experience in space qualification processes of HW modules.
Technical skills:
- Schematic and layout design tool suites from Cadence;
- Skilled in communication systems, transceivers, and sensors;
- Fundamentals of signal processing and data analysis;
- (as a plus) VHDL programming;
- (as a plus) Fundamentals of firmware programming (C, micro-controllers);
- (as a plus) Mechanical design and modeling tools such as Solidworks;
- (as a plus) Fundamentals of RF board design;
- (as a plus) Experience in Signal Integrity;
- MS Windows / Linux and office suite for documentation.
Personal qualifications:
- Capable of managing small projects in an autonomous way (e.g. the development of an electronic board from requirements to prototyping);
- Well suited to work in team;
- Collaborative and open-minded;
- Curious and eager to learn.
