ARESYS is currently looking for a Senior Hardware Engineer to be part of the fast growing ARESYS office in Milan.

The candidate will join our multi-disciplinary team  including Lab technician, FW developer and software developers dedicated to the development of RADAR systems and RADAR emulators for both our Space and Industry markets.

The candidate will have in charge the design, development and maintenance of specific Electronics RADAR boards and transceiver units usually equipped with state of arts FPGA/SOC chips

He will also manage the internal Electronic lab coordinating the test activities supported by the lab staff

ARESYS is a recognized technology provider in the field of RADAR and SAR systems and can offer a unique challenging environment where the candidate can develop advanced solutions and acquire new skills.

Main tasks and responsibilities:

  • To design Electronics boards for mixed signal, processing intensive, multi-channel acquisition applications
  • To coordinate internal and external resources (PCB layouters/printers/assemblers)  required to produce prototypes and production boards
  • To manage lab test and integration activities directly operating lab instruments and coordinating test activities
  • To test debug maintain and evolve the ARESYS Electronic products
  • To actively participate to the integrated system development supporting HW/SW integration and HW mechanical integration
  • To supervise and participate in the detailed design up to the realization and verification of the apparatus
  • Responsibility of BOM prepared with the support of the electronic technical team and system engineers
  • To coordinate the preparation of the project technical documentation

Education and experience:

  • MsC  in Electronics  engineering
  • Professional experience in similar application fields:  > 5 years

Technical skills:

  • Cadence Suite proficiency
  • Skilled in communication systems, transceivers, and sensors
  • Fundamentals of signal processing theory
  • Good experience with lab instruments (Oscilloscope, spectrum analyzer, signal generator, VNA)
  • MS Windows / Linux and office suite for documentation

Personal qualifications:

  • Capable of managing projects in an autonomous way (e.g. the development of an electronic board from requirements to prototyping)
  • Well suited to work in team, collaborative and open-minded
  • Curious and eager to learn
