ARESYS is a R&D oriented company with more than 15 years of history in the field of Remote Sensing and Sensor Networks Solutions. We serve the Space, Defense, Oil&Gas and Automation markets. In our Earth Observation Business Unit we are developing state-of-art solutions for the Space Market especially based on Satellite Synthetic Aperture RADAR technology. We are currently looking for an experienced and motivated Business Developer Manager that would take charge of promoting and commercially develop our products and services dedicated to the Space and Defense market.


Main responsibilities 

  • To develop a deep understanding of the ARESYS’s products or services and be able to present, describe underline their strengths and weaknesses to the potential customers
  • To understand the customers’ requirements and be able to respond effectively with a specific solution or with a plan to meet them
  • Identify potential customers and generate new leads, especially finding and targeting the appropriate prospective customer decision maker
  • Seek new business opportunities – including new markets, growth areas, trends, customers, products and services
  • Meet with customers/clients face to face or over the phone and attend all the strategic events and conference in the target sector
  • Manage the offer preparation, including preliminary work planning, resource allocations delivery plan and quotation, in tight cooperation with the activity technical leader
  • Define the main commercial strategies for the selected products and services generating the correspondent commercial documentation and coordinating the multi-disciplinary team (technical, graphics, web…) to develop effective marketing materials




  • Professional degree in business development or business management or any other relevant degree with strong background in the business area specializing in space industry.
  • Tenacity and drive to seek new business and meet or exceed targets
  • An excellent telephone manner for making initial contact and for ongoing communication with customers and business associates
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills – needed for communicating with a wide range of people, both internally and externally



  • Good Technical understanding of Satellite Earth Observation products/services and applications
  • Good technical understanding of RADAR and SAR Systems, or a good Electronical/Telecommunication background to quickly grasp the main feature of our products and services
  • Good project management skills
  • Excellent understanding of Sales processes and of the typical Space/Defence Companies procurement processes
  • Proved experience in writing effective and synthetic commercial offers and commercial presentations taylored for the specific customer needs
  • Experience in coordinating multi-national bid teams, discussing work responsibilities and shares, work plan and negotiating budget shares
  • Experience in the preparation of a complete proposal document package for European Space Agency
  • Fluent English is mandatory, Spanish and German are considered a plus
