ARESYS is a R&D oriented company with almost 20 years of history in the field of Remote Sensing and Sensor Networks Solutions. In our Earth Observation Business Unit we are developing state-of-art software solutions for Synthetic Aperture RADAR (SAR) applications.
The candidate will become a specialist of satellite SAR, RADAR and Optical data processing, working on real-life data, and will propose state-of-art Artificial Intelligence/Machine Learning solution for new and innovative Remote Sensing application.
Our ideal candidate has a proven experience in addressing Image and Signal processing problems through AI/ML tools especially concerning image classification, segmentation, clustering, target detection, target recognition.
The candidate will be able to identify the most suitable ML solution through state-of-art literature research and to accurately implement train and validate it through the most common ML tools on the market.
Main tasks and responsibilities:
- Develop self-running AI software to automate Remote Sensing image processing tasks
- Research and implement the appropriate ML solutions and architecture
- Develop machine learning applications according to requirements
- Select appropriate datasets and data representation methods through typical feature extraction e dimensional reduction tasks
- Run machine learning tests and experiments
- Perform statistical analysis and fine-tuning using test results
- Define the best training approach, select the best training dataset and validate the end-2-end training system
- Extend existing ML libraries and frameworks
- Keep abreast of developments in the field
- Working in close contact with the R&D and SW areas
Requirements:
- Master's degree in computer engineering, telecommunications, mathematics or other equivalent technical-scientific fields
- Proven professional experience of at least 3 years as a Machine Learning Engineer or similar role
- Ability to write robust Object Oriented code especially in Python
- Understanding of data structures, data modelling and software architecture
- Deep knowledge of math, probability, statistics and algorithms
- Familiarity with machine learning frameworks (like Keras, PyTorch or TensorFlow)
- Outstanding analytical and problem-solving skills
The following are preferential:
- Experience in Signal/Image processing solution development
- Knowledge of C/C++ and capability to integrate solution into an operational data processing environment
- As a plus: knowledge of the RADAR, SAR and/or Optical systems and related data processing pipelines
